Stretching over 750 kilometers of coastline facing the Gulf of Mexico, the state of Veracruz has breathtakingly beautiful beaches, many of them unexplored and even some totally unspoilt and isolated. The main beaches in the state are those of Costa Smeralda, with 50 miles of beautiful beaches located about an hour of Poza Rica. Also near the city of Poza Rica beaches are Cazones only 40 minutes, and Tuxpan and Tecolutla, about 45 minutes each, all of great beauty.

Some beaches of Veracruz also offer specialized services for tourism and most can perform a variety of water activities. On the beaches of Tecolutla, for example, you can rent palapas with chairs, tables and hammocks, and even participate in fishing tournaments.
