The Plaza de Armas is the most visited city, here you can admire the beautiful cathedral dating from 1710, and the Municipal Palace built in the nineteenth century, which was also the episcopal residence, and where there is a beautiful stained glass shield of the city and several murals depicting biblical scenes. You'll also find the "Casa de la Virreina" where lived the only Mexican Virreina, Dona Francisca de la Gandara. Meanwhile, the Government Palace, neoclassical style and built with pink stone, occupies much of the Plaza de Armas and has many rooms and a small room a museum.
